Visiting Denver

The city of Denver is located in the South Plate River Valley, with stunning views of the Rocky Mountains to the west, and to the east is the openness of the vast Great Plains. Denver is one mile above sea level, which is how it got its nickname as the Mile High City.

Great Walkability and Easy Access

Denver International Airport is among the world’s largest connecting airports. The airport train can then be taken to Denver Union Station in the middle of downtown. The downtown area features over 10,000 hotel rooms, and over 45,000 for the overall metropolitan area. There are plenty of cultural attractions to explore such as the History Colorado Center, Clyfford Still Museum and Denver Art Museum.

Food Lovers Paradise

Denver is home to many fine chef-owned restaurants. Larimer Square has a wide range of culinary delights with many of its offerings featuring locally sourced foods. There are plenty of food halls in the city as well, including Avanti F&B with its seven rotating casual eatery concepts sharing space with a patio and two craft bars; the artisan market The Source housed within what was formerly an ironworks foundry; and also Central Market, featuring almost a dozen providers that serve everything from gourmet chocolates to fresh-baked breads and wood-fired pizza.

Thriving Music Scene

The vibrant music scene in Denver has produced some major rock bands such as the Lumineers, OneRepublic and the Fray. Talented artists play a wide range of music genres in clubs every night throughout the metropolitan areas. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is located only 15 miles away from downtown. It features beautiful sandstone monoliths buttressing the iconic stage, where you can enjoy musical performances and also go hiking on trails located in the park that surrounds it.

Sports And Outdoor Recreation

Denver is a sport-crazy town that features three downtown stadiums for the Colorado Avalanche (hockey), Denver Nuggets (basketball), Colorado Rockies (baseball) and Denver Broncos (football). There is plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation. Denver has many miles of paved off-road trails connecting a huge array of dirt trails for mountain-bike adventures. The Rocky Mountains are nearby and boast plentiful wildlife, world-class ski slopes, rafting and hiking.
