Cynthia Bourjac

Capacity Building Manager

Cynthia Bourjac serves as ACT-LA’s Capacity Building Manager where she deepens the scope and work of the ACT-LA coalition by expanding sources of funding, skill building, and strategy implementation. She comes with experience as a labor rights paralegal, educator, and community organizer. Prior to ACT-LA, she was a part of Causa Justa Just Cause in the Bay Area, where her role supported the expansion of tenant protections and policies against the criminalization of Black and Brown communities. Cynthia grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and spent ten years in the Bay Area where she has witnessed and experienced the effects of displacement, environmental racism, and inequitable access to transportation. She is passionate about creating working class solidarity and power through political education, relationship building, and skill sharing to create thriving and equitable communities.
